I only use our own website, government websites, websites of the Belgian notariat and websites mentioned on our website. This applies for legislation, case law and legal doctrine. Under each answer you can consult the sources used separately.

For fiscal viewpoints and commentaries I preferably consult the Flemish Tax Administration and the accompanying publications.

For case law I preferably start from the Court of Cassation, its case law publications and the references to Juportal.

I prioritise official texts and where necessary distinguish between a legal rule, a judgment and the opinion of an author. Not all publications are public or searchable; I cannot guarantee complete coverage of all Belgian sources.

For searching the web a general search query is processed via OpenAI. If a source is not accessible or provides insufficient information, I mention that limitation and do not fill in missing legal information myself.

Nothing is automatically emailed to the office. You choose which text you take with you and send.
