An estimate helps you prepare

The calculations on Notaris.be are indicative. The outcome depends on your input and does not replace a final cost statement or advice for your file. Ask the office which items apply to your specific situation.

The modules open in a new tab. You enter your details directly on Notaris.be.

Discuss your estimate with us

An example to start with

Two men talking with each other at a small table by the window.

RECOGNISED IN PRACTICE

You compare two houses. Note for both the price, estimated purchase costs, financing and your remaining reserve. Take the two estimates with you and ask which costs are still missing.

An illustrative example. Your own situation may be different.

An estimate helps you prepare for the conversation

Notaris.be offers separate calculations for, among others, purchase, credit, mortgage power of attorney, deregistration, and gifting of real estate. Choose the module that suits your transaction. The outcome is indicative: save the estimate and discuss the specific characteristics of your file with us.

Questions & answers

Is the outcome my final statement?

No. A calculation module provides an estimate based on input and assumptions. Request a specific explanation for your file, especially when special conditions, multiple transactions or exceptions apply.

Why can two estimates differ?

Check whether the same amounts, date and circumstances were used and which costs are included. Do not simply compare a purchase calculation with a credit calculation.

What should I watch for when comparing credit costs?

Besides the interest rate, look at the annual percentage rate and the ESIS sheet. Certain costs fall outside that percentage. An estimate of the credit alone is therefore not a complete budget for purchasing a home.

What do you prepare for your consultation?
  • The amount or price on which you base the estimate.
  • Whether it concerns purchase, financing, gifting or inheritance.
  • The circumstances that may influence the estimate.

Bring what you already have. Note what is missing or about which you have doubts.
